FAQs

Do you provide an initial consultation?
Yes, I offer a free 20 minute consultation to all potential clients.  This conversation helps us determine if we will be a good match, and if I can provide the kind of support you are seeking.  

 

Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes. I conduct online sessions through Simple Practice, which is a HIPAA-compliant platform.  I also offer in-person sessions in two locations within Denver.

 

Where are your offices located?​

My offices are located  in Platt Park (2432 S. Downing St) and near Colorado and I-25 (1776 S. Jackson St.).  Both locations offer lots of available street parking.  The Jackson Street location also has an adjacent free parking lot.

 

How does scheduling work?

I believe consistency is important for therapy to be successful. With new clients, I require that we meet weekly for one month in order to establish rapport and build momentum. At that time, some clients may choose to meet on a biweekly basis.  I work with all clients to identify a regular meeting time that I reserve for our sessions.

 

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time. My practice is private pay and I am not in-network with any insurance providers. However, if your insurance plan includes out-of-network coverage, your insurer may reimburse you for a portion of your therapy costs. If this option interest you, please inquire with your insurer to understand the specifics of your coverage.  Also, please note that if you receive Medicaid I am not able to provide services to you because you are required to work with an in-network provider.

 

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept online payment at the time of service through credit, debit, HSA, and FSA cards. Prior to receiving services clients will receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much mental health care will cost. You can learn more about Good Faith Estimates here.

Do you have sliding scale spots?​

Yes, I reserve a number of sliding scale slots for clients with financial need. Please contact me if you would like to know whether sliding scale slots are currently available.
