For Athletes
Sports enrich our lives in so many ways. They provide a sense of identity, fun, and camaraderie, while giving us opportunities to challenge ourselves and grow alongside teammates. There is a unique joy in pushing yourself to improve, encouraging others to do the same, and discovering that you and your teammates are capable of more than you imagined. Whether it is seeing your own hard work pay off or celebrating a teammate’s success, sports can be a beautiful source of fulfillment and connection.
Unfortunately, today's sports culture often makes it difficult to experience these benefits. The pressure to win, perform perfectly, and maintain a spot on the team can sometimes overshadow the enjoyment of playing. Excessive training can also lead to overuse and injury, while expectations from coaches, parents, and/or teammates can create pervasive stress. At times, sports can feel less like a source of fulfillment and more like yet another pressure cooker in a hypercompetitive culture.
As a sports wellness consultant, my work is to help you overcome these challenges so you can rediscover your love of competing. This often involves learning to manage performance anxiety, building self-confidence, and finding effective ways to communicate with family members, coaches, or teammates. It can also include developing tools to cope with burnout and injury. In short, my goal is to help you develop a healthier relationship with your sport and yourself—one that allows you to perform at your best while also supporting your overall well-being.

For Parents & Coaches
The culture of competitive sports has changed significantly over the past decade. For athletes and coaches, participation now involves more training, more competitions, and more travel. For families, costs have increased along with sacrifices of personal time. With this greater investment, it’s unsurprising that expectations for sports performance have also accelerated. While these expectations can be motivating, they can also create undue pressure that manifests in a variety of ways, including performance anxiety, self-doubt, depression, injury, and strained relationships.
As parents and coaches, you can help athletes manage these pressures so they can access the many benefits sports have to offer. While competition and performance are key components of sports, they are only one part of the experience. Sports can provide athletes with opportunities to life skills such as confidence, teamwork, discipline, and communication. When athletes experience growth in these areas, their sports performance is likely to improve as well.
In my work with parents and coaches, I help you uplift your athletes as whole people, not just competitors. To begin, we find ways to help your athletes feel heard, supported, and valued. I also help you develop strategies for supporting athletes with performance pressure, emotion regulation, difficult team dynamics, or uncertainty about their role on the team.

Why Athlete Wellness Consulting?
As a lifelong athlete, I have found sports to be a consistent source of confidence, community, and fun. I was a multi-sport athlete in high school and continued to play sports in college at the varsity (soccer), JV (basketball) and club (rugby) levels. My current passion is tennis and I’m grateful for the opportunity to combine competition, exercise, and socializing on a regular basis.
I’m also a youth basketball coach and a dance/basketball/tennis mom. In these roles, I’ve experienced firsthand the need for athlete mental health support. Too often, I see young athletes lose their confidence, competitive spirit, and love of the game. I see parents and coaches struggle to both encourage and challenge their athletes. I see a win-at-all-costs culture that values performance over wellness.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Sports can and should help athletes thrive as people, not just as competitors. My mission in providing athlete wellness consulting is to help athletes feel good about themselves and their sports performance.
